What's the difference between Elotes and Esquites?

Esquites is Mexican street corn served off the cob and in a cup, whereas Elote is Mexican street corn served on the cob.

Ingredients

2 cans of kernel corn
1/2 cup of mayonnaise or sour cream
1 tbsp of lime or lemon juice
1/4 cup of feta, parmesan or mozzarrela cheese (grated)
1/4 tbsp of Tajin
Coriander chopped (optional)
 

Directions

  1. Drain canned corn and either cook over the stove or microwave until hot
  2. Mix all the ingredients
  3. Divide corn between two cups and sparkle coriander on top
